Baader Planetarium M54a inverter ring is designed to convert an internal M54 x 0.75 thread into an external M54 x 0.75 thread. It is an essential mechanical accessory for adapting or reversing thread connections in optical trains using the M54 standard.

The design allows full insertion between two internal M54 threads without adding functional optical length. A mechanical length of 8 mm is present, but the ring effectively disappears within the connection, avoiding misalignment or mechanical stress.

The internal surface is grooved and finished in non reflective matte black to minimize stray light and preserve contrast, especially in astrophotography.

Wide compatibility allows use with Baader Planetarium systems as well as other brands using M54 threads such as Skywatcher and TS Optics.

Precision machining ensures secure mounting without risk of jamming. When the connection is opened, the external thread ring is released easily.
