The ZWO ASI676MM is an all sky camera featuring a square 1 1.6 inch sensor with 12 MP resolution. Designed for meteor detection and sky monitoring, it offers high sensitivity with STARVIS 2 technology, low noise and stable USB 3.0 transmission with integrated DDR3 memory.
The ZWO ASI676MM is designed for full sky imaging and wide field astrophotography. It features a square 1 1.6 inch sensor with 12 MP resolution, simplifying image composition and mosaic creation by removing constraints of rectangular formats. The square format also improves compatibility with fisheye and wide angle lenses, making it ideal for meteor detection and sky monitoring.
The sensor is based on Sony STARVIS 2 technology, providing sensitivity higher than the human eye, with low read noise and reduced dark current. Performance is enhanced in the near infrared range, improving signal to noise ratio.
A built in HCG mode reduces read noise at high gain while maintaining wide dynamic range. At gain 180, read noise reaches 0.56e and dynamic range remains close to 11 stops.
The camera features zero amp glow regardless of exposure time or gain, implemented directly at the hardware level.
A 256 MB DDR3 buffer combined with USB 3.0 ensures stable and secure data transmission.
Two versions are available. The ASI676MC includes a UV IR cut coated window to reduce infrared interference. The ASI676MM includes an AR coated protective filter to enhance light transmission from near ultraviolet to near infrared and protect the sensor.
The camera is ideal for all sky imaging, meteor capture and detailed observation of the Sun and Moon.
