Description
The Baader UFC Base (Filter Chamber) is the core module of the Universal Filter Changer system. It is required in any UFC setup to house the filter drawers and enable secure mechanical and optical connections between telescope adapters and camera adapters.

It supports UFC filter drawers for mounted 2" filters, unmounted 50.4 mm filters, and 50x50 mm square filters. The drawer locks into place magnetically and is secured with a brass pin mechanism for safe filter handling and repeatable positioning.

On the telescope side, the base features an S70 dovetail receptor compatible with all S70a UFC adapters (M54a, M57a, RASA 8, etc.). On the camera side, it provides a mounting plate for attaching various UFC camera adapters (e.g., M48a, T-2i, M68i).

Made of CNC-machined, black anodized aluminium, the UFC Base ensures rigidity and precise alignment in the optical train. Its optical height is 13 mm.
