The Explore Scientific 3" 0.7x reducer flattens the field and shortens the focal length. Designed for ED127 and ED152 APOs, with 65 mm clear aperture.
DESCRIPTION
The Explore Scientific 3" 0.7x reducer/corrector shortens the focal length by 0.7x (at f/8) or 0.8x (at f/10), while flattening the field for astrophotography. It was initially designed for ED127 and ED152 APO telescopes but is also compatible with ED102 and ED165 models.
It offers a generous 65 mm clear aperture for use with large-sensor cameras, provided the optical system allows it.
The reducer features an M76x0.75 mm telescope thread and an M72x0.75 mm camera output. It includes several adapters: a 3" barrel insert, a M54x0.75 mm thread adapter for the Explore Scientific Essential focusers, and a T2 (M42x0.75 mm) camera adapter.
For telescopes with a 2.5" HEX focuser, adapter #0510366 is required. For 2" focusers, adapter #0510364 enables proper connection.
Not compatible with Explore Scientific 80 mm ED APOs.
