DESCRIPTION
The Baader 1.7x glasspath corrector for Newtonian reflectors is specially developed to enable binoviewer use on Newton telescopes. Featuring a full 2" optical path and an integrated coma corrector, it fits directly into Baader’s Maxbright II and Mark V binoviewers via its 2" barrel and M48 filter thread.

This corrector is not a standard Barlow lens. Its main purpose is to correct chromatic aberration introduced by the prisms in binoviewers while also restoring contrast and sharpness. Additionally, the coma corrector ensures clean, coma-free views across the field of view when used with fast Newtonians.

Delivered ready for use with the Mark V binoviewer, the T-2a adapter ring with Zeiss-style dovetail (#2456320) is required for use with Maxbright. Dobsonian users should ensure a backfocus of at least 25 mm.
