DESCRIPTION

The ZWO ADC Mark II is an atmospheric dispersion corrector composed of two precision silicate glass prisms. Their relative angle is finely adjustable via a side-mounted lever. This system counteracts atmospheric chromatic dispersion by introducing the opposite aberration. It's highly effective for planetary imaging and also useful visually.

The anodized aluminum housing is lightweight and durable. Fully multi-coated optical surfaces ensure optimal light transmission from 300 to 700 nm, targeting the spectral range used in planetary sensors. The corrector features male and female T2 threads and includes a 1.25" barrel, allowing seamless integration with cameras, filter wheels, or eyepieces.

Its benefit is greatest when observing or imaging targets at low altitudes, where dispersion is most severe. Unlike software correction, the ADC does not degrade image resolution or contrast. It’s an essential component in serious planetary setups.
