DESCRIPTION
The ASSF 50 mm solar filter enables safe solar observation and imaging with spotting scopes, amateur telescopes, and telephoto lenses. It uses Baader’s AstroSolar Safety Film OD 5.0, tension-free mounted to deliver true diffraction-limited optical quality. The filter material is bonded to a plastic ring which supports an aluminum front cell, creating a highly stable assembly. Three rubberized centering pins with brass threads allow adjustable and secure mounting on optics from 55 to 96 mm in diameter. A sliding black baffle prevents stray light entry, and three Velcro safety straps add extra stability. Ideal for magnifications up to 120x, this filter offers a precise, safe solar imaging solution.
