DESCRIPTION
The Baader ASTF 160 mm is a white-light solar filter using AstroSolar Safety Film OD 5.0. It ensures safe and high-contrast observation of the Sun at high magnification. The filter is mounted in a tension-free, thermally compensated aluminum cell, maintaining diffraction-limited image quality.
It includes two sets of centering bolts (10 mm and 20 mm), rubber safety plugs, sliding fasteners, index scales, and three safety Velcro straps. The design prevents image degradation by avoiding stretching of the film, unlike many pre-mounted filters on the market.
