Baader Planetarium M54 fine adjustment rings set in aluminium includes three spacers of 0.3 mm 0.5 mm and 1 mm. Designed for precise backfocus tuning and preventing thread binding in M54 optical systems.
Baader Planetarium M54 fine adjustment rings set is designed to provide extremely precise backfocus tuning in optical systems using the M54 standard. The set includes three aluminium rings with different thicknesses, color coded black for 0.3 mm, red for 0.5 mm and gold for 1 mm.
The ultra thin design allows insertion between two M54 threaded components without significantly altering the optical layout. Each ring acts as a spacer to fine tune component positioning with sub millimeter precision.
An additional mechanical function prevents thread binding between M54 components. The use of a spacer ring reduces the risk of locking and ensures easier disassembly while maintaining a secure connection.
A rotation equivalence is provided as a reference. A 0.3 mm ring corresponds to approximately two fifths of a turn, a 0.5 mm ring to about two thirds of a turn and a 1 mm ring to about one and one third turns. This allows quick mechanical adjustment alongside optical tuning.
Full compatibility with the M54 system ensures integration with Baader Planetarium equipment and other accessories using M54 x 0.75 threading.
