DESCRIPTION

The Baader ASTF 100 mm OD 5.0 solar filter is engineered for precise solar viewing with high-end optical instruments. It incorporates the original AstroSolar Safety Film OD 5.0, mounted without stress in a temperature-compensated cell. The film maintains its optical performance in temperatures from -30°C to +50°C.
The structure includes a floating injection-molded film carrier ring, held by a fiber-reinforced plastic ring, inside an aluminum frame with non-rotating metal sliders. Three centering bolts allow tool-free adjustment on the telescope tube or dew shield.
Three safety straps with Velcro pads ensure secure mounting in all conditions. The filter delivers diffraction-limited quality, even at high magnification, by preserving the plan-optical precision of the film.
Supplied ready to use, with complete mounting accessories and a rigid transport box.
