DESCRIPTION

The Baader Hyperion 8 mm 68° eyepiece delivers sharp, high-magnification views with enhanced contrast and wide-field clarity. Its modular optical design includes 8 elements in 5 groups and features the advanced Phantom Group Coating®, engineered for optimal performance at the green spectral peak (520 nm) where the night-adapted eye is most sensitive.

Equipped with both 1¼" and 2" filter-threaded barrels, this eyepiece provides excellent versatility. The integrated M43 and SP54 camera threads allow for both afocal and classical eyepiece projection. Additional tuning rings (14 mm and 28 mm) can adjust the effective focal length without degrading optical performance.

It is also compatible with Zeiss Diascope spotting scopes when used with the dedicated bayonet adapter (not included). Like all Hyperion eyepieces, it is parfocal, meaning no refocusing is needed when switching between focal lengths in the Hyperion line.
